It's nearly Spring!!

Well, it is nearly spring and I am so glad. We have had heaps of rain here as some of the pics will show.

But I have not been idle. Have made a couple of travel cases - using a swap fat 1/8th - which were simple to make. It has to have a small cutting mat and a small rotary cutter added yet, but makes it so much easier when going to craft,as it's all there.

Have also been outline stitching a small quilt for our grandson, which also has book panels I am working on now. This will be his Christmas present, so not too much of a rush to finish that off.

And I am nearly finished the centre panel for the quilt "Thoughts of Home and Garden". This will be a 12 month project, nice to pick up and and some applique occasionally.

And lastly, my quilting group had a Mile Minute a couple of weeks back, where you just sew small pieces together, no planning, and when big enough you press it, then cut out a 6 & 1/2 in square. gets rid of lots of little bits, but we all kept swapping, so didn't really acheive getting rid of much at all!!
