Quilting design around the dinosaurs
Well I have finally finished the Dinosaur quilt for the two DGKs in Adelaide. Kate helped pick the buttons for the eyes, and it is now ready to go. I saw the dinosaur applique patches in Spotlight ages ago, and thought they would be good for the labels. Pink for Kate, and blue for Thomas.
When we were in Queensland a while back, I bought the DGKs both a money box with little dinosaurs on top, with the name Thomasaurus and KatieRaptor on them, they were sooo cute. Will try and get a photo of them. All I have to do now is deliver it.
And I am showing off my hexies too! All you ladies making the small ones, forget it! I am into making these 7 inch ones with a 5 inch centre. Lovely and quick to make, and again, uses up lots of scraps. One we made for the craft club I go to on Wednesdays has about 300 in it, which will cover a queen sized bed. I have made about 80 already. Yes, they are quilt as you go.
Cheers for now, and Happy Sewing!

PS: Have finally finished these travel cases, which are so easy to make. I have been using Fat 1/8ths that I have been receiving from a swap I am in.
