Spending up at Patchwork Apple

More spending!

Yesterday we had our Adelaide Forum meeting, and it was a great success. All in all, 12 lovely ladies turned up, 7 forum, and 5 crafty friends.

They arrived at our place around 9.30, and after a coffee we had a bit of a show and tell. It was a good way to break the ice, and I went first with my needle felting. I am making a sorcerer's hat for our grand-daughter, and I am also into making felt bowls.

We then headed off to The Patchwork Apple, a quilting shop at Woodside. It looked like we had taken over when we met a couple more of the forum group there. After lots of spending, we headed off to the Chocolate Factory for a brief stopover before we got to the Adelaide Hills Market for lunch. When we arrived, Kathy Bashiera (http://www.kathysfibres.com/) was there to show us some of the wool used for felting, knitting. The colours were just beautiful, and she had lots of tips for us.

After lunch and a wander around, we headed back to our place, where my hubby had made us lovely scones to have with another cuppa. They went down well!

Had more show and tell, fellowship and lots of laughs. Friendships were formed, and we also decided that another Adelaide event would take place later in the year. It was so nice to put faces to names.
The forum members that came were: Lucky1, DebsW, Sallyanne, Bucknchooky, Jorja, Joyful Heart, and myself. Non forum guests were: Gay, Judy, Kaye, Veronica, and Heather.
Unfortunately, Annelda and Jude's Stuff were unable to attend, and they were missed!
The girls gave me a lovely cushion - with a cow on it!! - and it is just divine. They all signed it for me, and I love it.
Cheers
