Here are a couple of photos of our house. We saw it on the internet 4 years ago, and just had to have it. It is on 6 & 1/2 acres, and we are surrounded by natural bush. Have 3 woolie lawn mowers (Jellybean, Toffee and Lamb Chop!!) Having lived in the Northern Territory for 30 years, we wanted something special to retire to, and this is it.
It is a 2 bedroomed eco designed home, which is cut into the side of a hill to maximise the thermal heating and cooling. This is also why it is built over the dam. Warm in winter, and cooling in summer. We have stocked it with Silver Perch plus the yabbies, so, no mozzies! No airconditioning, just ceiling fans. We are on tank water, and have a composting toilet, every house should have one.
We have an abundant supply of fruit trees including nectarines, pears, plums, cherries, quince, pomegranates, almonds. This year I hope to get bottling, as I already have a huge stock of home made jam!!
